Know the Regulations Before You Make a Fire
(Respect the rules and we all win)
As an avid offroad Jeep lover I see the evidence of more than my fair share of illegal fires set in the forest, parks, and backwoods. I more than understand the desire to feel like you have escaped the shackles of society, to breathe the fresh air, and have the freedom to do what you want without regulations and laws.
Before you venture out, even into your backyard, you should check with the local authorities to know the status regarding fire restrictions and bans. The weather websites like weather.com and others have fire condition warnings. Also check the State and County Park Services for the status.
