Soft drink, water and beer bottles; mouthwash bottles; peanut butter containers; salad dressing and vegetable oil
Health Risks:
Contains BPA (BisPhenol A) which is currently considered one of the top concerns for environmental and water contamination mitigation. Banned years ago for use in bottles and other items for babies, BPA is only recently being recognized as a major threat to health.
Suspected to cause cancer; the most common of which is prostate cancer in addition the BPA and its byproducts migrate into ground water and is not removed from the water when treated for drinking.
BPA is an endocrine disruptor and mimics estrogen. BPA leaching occurs at temperatures over 98 degrees Fahrenheit and when in contact with fats and oils like peanut butter.
