THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR HOMEPATHIC METHODS WILL NOT SAVE YOU FROM SEPTIC SHOCK OR SEPSIS!! PLEASE SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL CARE. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO SO RAPIDLY BE PREPARED TO UTILIZE POWERFUL BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIBIOTICS WHILE AWAITING HELP.
THE KEY TO SURVIVING SEPSIS IS TO AVOID GETTING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR WOUNDS. NO WOUND IS OUTSIDE OF THE THREAT OF SEPSIS!!
The best thing about sepsis is avoidance. Vigilance in wound care is critical. Sepsis can take hold rapidly even as a result of a seemingly insignificant cut. If the wound is improperly cared for the prognosis can be grim if you are off grid or in a survival situation. So be proactive. If you are injured don't play tough guy, clean, dress and attend the wound. Do not allow the opportunity for sepsis.
When planning your first aid kit, sepsis should be on the top of your list. Broad spectrum antibiotics are the attack of choice. If you allow the wound and an infection to get out of control you could die if you do not have access to quality professional healthcare immediately.
People with sepsis are generally treated in hospital intensive care units. The first step is often treatment with broad-spectrum antibiotics; these are medicines that kill many types of bacteria. Once lab tests identify the infectious agent doctors will treat the infection with specifically targeted antibiotics. In order to maintain normal blood oxygen levels it may be necessary for the patient to receive oxygen and intravenous fluids.
If a patient is in severe sepsis then treatment such as mechanical ventilation or kidney dialysis may be necessary. If there is a localized infection surgery is often required.
Unfortunately, years of research not yet yielded a medicine that targets the aggressive immune response that characterizes sepsis.
Some people have presented anecdotal evidence that the use of Colloidal or Ionic Silver solutions sprayed on the rash have caused the sepsis to be aleviated.
